Kevin’s hot streak continue into Turkey Day...can he keep it going into the playoffs?

Speaking of playoffs, will Plaxico Burress take part in the festivities after shooting himself in the leg? A month ago he insisted his off-field problems were not a distraction.

Nice knowing you Plax. Moving on...Be sure to check out Eatdrinkandsleepfootball.com for updates.

After picking all 3 Turkey Day games and finishing 2-1 against the spread (ATS) for the day, I am 40-22-1 ATS through Thanksgiving.  Thursday’s games were blowouts - the closest game was decided by 25 points.  And Donovan McNabb responded to his critics with a resounding 260-yard, 4-TD passing effort while also showcasing his escapability by making a few good runs (24 yards on 4 rush attempts) when appropriate.

There are some great match-ups this Sunday (Giants vs Redskins, Patriots vs Steelers, Bears vs Vikings, etc.).  And here are 3 more winners you should be thankful for:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3.5 (over New Orleans Saints): Drew Brees and the Saints offense exploded for 51 points against the Packers Monday.  This week, they head to sunny Tampa to face the Bucs.  To some degree, this game will be decided by which team can impose their will on the other.  The Saints are 3rd in the NFL in scoring offense (28.8 ppg) and 1st in passing offense (319.5 ypg).  On the other hand, the Bucs are 3rd in the NFL in scoring defense (16.4 ppg) and 2nd in passing defense (174.6 ypg).  Here is an interesting stat that you may not know: the Bucs have lost their 3 games by a combined 11 points.  No other team in the NFL has a better combined scoring margin in their losses this season.  Did you know that the NFC South is a combined 21-2 at home this season?  The Bucs are a perfect 5-0 at home while the Saints are 1-4 on the road.  I expect this game to be reasonably close, but I expect the Bucs to win by roughly a TD.

Baltimore Ravens -7 (over Cincinnati Bengals): The Baltimore Ravens, like the NFC South teams this year, have done much better at home than on the road over the past few seasons.  However, this week’s road game is in Cincinnati against the Bungles.  The Ravens are on the playoff fence; in as the 6th seed if the season were to end today.  And after playing the 1-9-1 team from the Queen City, they face a much tougher schedule (Redskins, Steelers, Cowboys and Jaguars).  So while I wouldn’t call this game a “must-win”, it really is a “can’t-lose.” The Ravens should easily improve to ocho-cuatro.

Indianapolis Colts -5 (over Cleveland Browns): Before injuring his finger, Brady Quinn gave the Browns a glimmer of hope.  He played well in a game they should have won (vs Broncos) and got hurt in the next game, which they did win (at Bills), but he is done for the season.  The Colts have turned around their season and have won their past 4 games.  During that span, Peyton Manning has had a 100+ QB rating and completed 65%+ of his passes.  He has also thrown for 267.3 ypg and 9 TDs (only 1 INT).  Also, Joseph Addai is finally looking like a top RB again with 254 combined rushing/receiving yards in the past 2 games.  This game could be over by halftime.

Hopefully my 64.5% cover rate this year has helped you be able to take advantage of a Black Friday deal on a new plasma TV and enjoy the rest of this week’s/year’s games in style…
