Stud of the Week: Yves Rossy
Our inaugural Stud of the Week is not a trader or fund manager, it’s Yves Rossy, the Swiss Rocket Man.

A veteran pilot of fighter jets and commercial aircraft, Yves Rossy doesn’t actually have to be in a plane to go flying. On Wednesday, the Swiss aerial adventurer stepped out of this small propeller-driven plane at an altitude of 8,000 feet and launched himself with a pair of jet-powered wings strapped to his body.

Those Jet-Cat P200 engines may be small, but together they produce nearly 200 pounds of thrust. The wing structure itself weighs about 120 pounds with fuel and smoke, 66 pounds dry. A gas-powered spring opened the wings from their initial folded position in just a half-second.
