Another bonus addict bites the dust

Bonuses can make blind men see, and lame men run. OK, maybe that’s stretching it. But when those quarterly earning reports come out, there’s a new spring in people’s walk, you can feel the anticipation in the air. Of course, some enthusiasts can’t bother anticipating. Case in point: David Becker, the man who once headed up Citi’s worldwide commodities trading. He recently ‘fessed up to cooking his unit’s books to make them look $20 million fatter than they were- to improve his job performance and you guessed it, get bigger, better bonuses.
