Bezos is Laughing

Wall Street has long enjoyed a dysfunctional relationship with Amazon.com. Founder Jeff Bezos is one of us, sort of.  Jeff ditched Wall Street long ago, but has been messing with its head ever since.  A moonshot, courtesy of Henry Blodget, was followed by a seemingly endless streak of earnings disappointments. Which of course lulled everyone back to sleep, with the possible exception of the legend in Baltimore. I have always loved the company’s service but have occasionally loathed the stock. But forget about ‘ole StockJockey for the moment.  July 25th, 2007 is Jeff Bezos Day on Wall Street.  You might be able to kick his scrawny butt, but you can’t steal his thunder. However, if you listen closely you can hear him laughing, all the way to the bank.
