The ghosts of Montgomery Securities prowling the halls of 9 West 57th are probably happy they don’t have to gather daily for a 4:15AM EST morning meeting.  We tip our hat to the rest of the West Coast who still rise early every day, and promise to fight any attempt to expand trading hours. Lets keep it real, but only between 9:30am and 4:00pm:

Bank of America today announced the appointment of Derek Dillon and Doug Baird as co-heads of Equity Capital Markets (ECM), sharing responsibility for all common stock and convertible origination. Based in New York, they report jointly to Global Head of Capital Markets, Bill White and Co-Heads of Global Equities, Peter Forlenza and Ciaran O’Kelly.

“We are confident Derek and Doug will drive significant growth in the ECM business, a key initiative for Bank of America, and are thrilled to have them lead our talented team,” added O’Kelly.

Dillon joined Bank of America in 1998 and most recently served as Head of Convertible Capital Markets, leading the group to a top five league table ranking. He holds a degree from Princeton University.

Baird joins Bank of America after nearly 20 years with Deutsche Bank, where he spent four years in Mergers & Acquisitions followed by nearly 15 years in ECM, most recently as Co-Head of ECM. He holds a degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Lovely views of Central Park, but a bit bureaucratic. Hang in there, foot soldiers of 9 West.
