Cavemen Take the Super Bowl
Will the Super Bowl ever jump the shark? It is a vulgar display of capitalism, and more often than not the game sucks. Lets hope we get a close one on Sunday. But the crass commercialism has started, and Budweiser is running “teasers” of their Super Bowl commercials on Youtube. Cavemen must be at full employment given how often they show up in ads and TV series in the 21st century.
Much is riding on the ads, at least for ad agencies. Careerbuilder’s monkeys might be gone, but the ad agency that replaced the simians was fired after last years ads flopped.
And the ads can be worth the money, Go Daddy.com grew its market share of the domain registry from 32% in 2006 to 42% last year.
