At first we couldn’t believe the news that a Smith Barney broker had filed suit against the firm for failing to pay him overtime. But then we saw that the 45-year-old Massachussetts resident was pulling down less than $75K a year working 70 to 80 hour weeks. Dude, time for a new profession! Maybe it’s not such a bad idea though: both Morgan Stanley and UBS have paid out to settle similar claims over the past couple of years.
