Dealing with Sarbox issues is one thing. But handling the IR function for a Fortune 500 firm is a pain in the butt.  Who wants to deal with the legions of BuySide and SellSide analysts and portfolio managers who routinely fire off emails at 3AM?

It takes one to know one.  Alvaro de Molina used to run money. I did not know that. And now he is at Cerberus.

He also told the New York Times he was interested in becoming a public-company CEO or running a hedge fund or private equity firm. “I had a long track record in trading and managing money,” he told the paper at the time. “I could do something like that.”
