Harvard Business school will soon give a whole new meaning to the term make-up test. According to yesterday’s Wall Street Journal, Harvard is planning to add a new class to its executive education program exclusively about business fashion and make-up. It’s part of a larger trend of business schools courting an under-tapped market--stay-at-home moms who want to return to the workforce. Dartmouth, Baruch and Babson are all getting into the game which, in the end, is all about the Benjamins.

Comments:

agreed that all these schools are all about $$$, but i think this program actually makes a lot of sense. i’m not a stay at home mom, but if you’ve been out of the workforce for 5+ years you may be a little apprehensive about fashion, etc.

granted i dont think it needs to be a full class, but some type of optional information session seems helpful for these women.

After just three years at home I could benefit from learning how to put on make-up.  Infact it’s something I never learned in all of my years at school.
