Barton Biggs was on Fast Money tonight commenting that the currrent market environment, including all things China, feels like early 1999. Barton mentioned that hedge funds are underinvested, with the net exposure the lowest in four years, and they will need to pile on if the market keeps rising. I would respectfully disagree with his timeline, preferring to flip Barton’s calendar ahead a few months and think today is more akin to late summer ‘99.
Tech is leading the charge, and Scott Kessler offers up his take on Google in this video, which offers up the usual blah blah blah.
