Massachusetts Manager Hits the Highway, Skips Court
Friday, November 11, 2005 - 8:46 am
The good news as far as the SEC was concerned in the fraud case around Massachusetts-based Groundswell Partners was that they had founding partner Mark Conway on tape admitting his guilt. The bad news was that Mr. Conway is now nowhere to be found. Conway allegedly altered documents in a five-year cover up to mask losses in a single stock that occurred not long after he launched the fund with $14 million in April 2000. Conway leaves approximately 75 family members and friends high and dry.
