No Money Left at HF But Plenty of Furniture
More than $200 million of their money is flushed down the toilet, but former investors in Palm Beach hedge fund KL Financial at least will get a shot at buying some fancy furniture on the cheap. Items from the fraudulent fund’s offices--including pieces by Dakota Jackson--will go on the auction block tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. A few of the higher-end pieces are being auctioned for a second time after failing to fetch enough last go-round. What’s changed? The attorney in charge of the sale sent them out to a furniture restorer for a tune-up.
