Well at least no worries for those execs who survived the purge.

But following the unfolding soap opera at Yahoo! (YHOO-NASDAQ) has left us exhausted.

Tom Freston replacing Terry Semel. Or maybe Sue Decker....even Microsoft for Yahoo! in a blockbuster deal. The only rumor we did not hear was Alfred E. Neuman for CEO.

One thing is for sure...the rank and file are sure to enjoy a little serenity now with the departure of Yahoo! executive Lloyd Braun.

Braun, once the object of derision in a classic Seinfeld episode, is also the subject of vitriol on the boards at Valleywag...

here are a few examples...

today is a happy day for us ex-yahoos who suffered under Lloyd and for Yahoo shareholders everywhere. The only consolation I have is knowing that his shares are deep, deep underwater.

Lloyd was the most computer-phobic, non-Internet aware person in all of Yahoo.

can’t tell you how long overdue this is. I had the experience of working with LB at Yahoo, and it was a complete disaster from day one. I don’t doubt that he’s a genius with TV, but he had zero grasp of the web and didn’t seem to be all that interested in learning about the differences between the two media. instead, he took meetings with agents and handed yahoo shareholder’s cash to mark burnett.

The drama at Yahoo! should subside...but it might be a case of…

Serenity now. Insanity later.
