The credit crisis and global financial meltdown has not been all bad. At least for Dick Bove of Punk Ziegel. He has used the opportunity as a giant marketing event, and can be accurately described as the biggest media whore on the SellSide.
Love him or hate him, he has the spotlight. We do not always agree with him, and he seems to change his mind as much as Cramer. But he is back in the spotlight this morning; and seems to have more airtime on CNBC than Faber.
He is claiming that the financial crisis is over, and that further negative news flow should be ignored. An environment has been created that will pump profits into the domestic banking industry, and this is the best buying opportunity for bank stocks in 20 years. In the interview below he highlights his view on the brokers vs. the banks, and is drawing a sharp distinction.
