Wall Street has stopped drinking the Kool-Aid, but certainly needs a stiff drink. But it is not all dire, and Meredith Whitney thinks the brokers are essentially washed out, and favors them over the banks given the current quotes.
Whitney and Dick Bove are on opposite sides of Citigroup, and we should know soon who is correct. Whitney might soon be crowned Queen of the Street, particularly as Citi goes from Prince to paupers.
Is $2 the new $30?
See why she continues to argue for a 50% haircut in bank stocks after the jump....
Jeez, Meredith, be careful what you wish for.
