Race of the Week: Bing Crosby Handicap at Del Mar

For a prominent grade 1 stakes race, this year’s field is not too strong.

Battle Won has had a couple of good workouts over this new surface at Del Mar and should be able to press the pace from the outside. 
The times are on the slower side this meet- he will make his move down the stretch.  Also adds blinkers; plus Baze onboard doesn’t hurt.

EZ Warrior, the only 3 year old in here is lightly raced coming off layoff where significant improvement can be expected.  Needs to be up front, but does not necessarily have to set the pace.
Definitely a little out-classed, but should be able to run with this years field.

Bordonaro can easily fire triple digit Beyers and is comfortable setting or sitting on the pace.  He’s fresh and coming off a nice workout on the surface. 8 of his 10 wins are at this distance.

Long shot to look for is In Summation-Good turf sprinter, a little low on class, but if the pace horses peel back he might be able to make his move.

You will get a good morning line as the odds are 20-1.
