Riverbed Gets Body Checked

Riverbed Technology’s sex appeal powered the stock to all-time highs recently, but the earnings release yesterday was not enough for the bulls. Year over year revenue growth of 157% looked pretty good to us, but with formidable competition looming from Cisco and Juniper, heavy investments in their future growth will make 2008 a bit of a hockey stick. The stock’s ramp last fall was a thing of beauty, but shareholders will need to settle in for a war of attrition with the big boys. Riverbed has its job cut out for it, and fast money is moving on today as the bulls get body checked. No Position
