ValueClick’s lowered guidance will put a hurt on the fast money who pushed this stock near $30 over the past month. The results continue the weak operating trends and are not that big of a surprise, but management believes its lead generation business has stabilized. This could be the last stumble before the long anticipated buyout, and the company’s scarcity value could be worth more to a buyer than its near term earnings power. Still, the deal price might not be as rich as hoped, and if nothing happens the stock might eventually drip into the teens. No Position
