The tough news streak endured by Morgan Stanley in 2005 appears to have extended in 2006 with word that former top dogs are dipping back into the firm’s talent pool to man their new outfits. Joseph R. Perella, has hired Jon A. Anda, a co-head of capital markets at Morgan Stanley, and Vikram S. Pandit, who used to be president of the firm’s institutional securities business until resigning last March, is trying to lure a four-man crew of prop bond traders away. It’s still unclear whether he’ll be successful in doing so.
