Trend Spotting

It is funny to watch which names become popular over time. I have two friends with 4-year olds boys that are both named Jack.  That is currently the most popular name in the UK. Number two on the list? Can you believe Muhammad? The researchers included 14 spelling versions of the name in the tally, but still it is telling.

Scholars said that the name’s rise up the league table was driven partly by the growing number of young Muslims having families, coupled with the desire to name their child in honor of the Prophet. Times Online
