Nearly a year after Jimmy Cayne dispatched his heir apparent, Warren Spector is back to work.

Sort of:

A bloody production of ``Hamlet’’ entertained some 600 patrons at the Public Theater’s opening night party in Manhattan’s Central Park.

Those feeding al fresco on grilled sirloin and roasted salmon beside the open-air theater, included Public Theater board chairman and ousted Bear Stearns co-president Warren Spector, Steve Martin, Cynthia Nixon, Kathleen Turner and Andie MacDowell. The event raised $1.5 million. Bloomberg

Drinking rose with artists in Central Park sure beats banging bodies on the hardcourts of Wall Street. After Jimmy executed Warren he was able to sell his Bear Stearns stock roughly 90 points higher than JP Morgan’s ultimate bid, in what might have been one of the best trades in Wall Street history. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.

Warren has enough dough to sit on his butt this rest of his life if he desires, and might not have to force his wife to go back to work on the big screen. According to IMDB she has not appeared in a movie since 1994.

But behind every successful man there is a supportive wife, and while I am not privy to the Secrets of Warren’s Success, his wife starred in a movie with a remarkably similar name.

Oh Yeah-Warren’s wife back in the day
