condoReal estate agents are licking their chops in anticipation of Wall Street bonus money flooding the market. After a slow August and September, there’s anecdotal evidence that bonus optimism has already started propping up the Manhattan market. “In my opinion, the residential real estate market in New York City has had an uptick from Columbus Day to now, and a lot of it has had to do with anticipation of Wall Street bonuses,” says Richard Ferrari, senior vice president with Prudential Douglas Elliman. If the Fed is really getting ready to slow down, that would also be good news for the real estate market.

So do we know if this optimism is justified?  Surely some of the US banks have given out numbers by now…
